Inflammation caused by our own immune system when body recognizes invaders such as invading microbe, plant pollen, etc. which may protect your health in intermittent bouts. However, sometimes, inflammation keeps going even when you are not threatened by a foreign invader, like enjoying a spring with pollen allergic. Many more diseases including cancer, heart disease, arthritis, diabetes and Alzheimer’s have been linked to chronic inflammation.

Researchers in nutrition and public health department have experimented that components of nature ingredients may have anti-inflammatory effects. However, foods with large high sugar and high calories should avoided, instead, green leafy vegetables, nuts, fatty fish and fruits should be taken regularly. But did you know the eggshell membrane proteins have also played anti-inflammation effects? This is based on our R&D results in anti-inflammation assay.

We use NFkB (Nuclear Factor kappa B) as an indicator for our fluorescent assays. NFkB is expressed in most animal/ human cell types and plays a key role in the inflammatory response. This is a primary transcription factor with “rapid effect” (because of already present in the cytoplasm). NFkB can be activated and translocates in the nucleus rapidly in response to harmful signals (including pro-inflammatory signals).

Primary human keratinocytes - Anti-inflammation assay

At the studies with samples of EGGXPERT_S1 & S2 and primary human keratinocytes, the expression of positive NFkB (Nuclear Factor kappa B) droped about 10% and 20% respectively comparing to positve control group with hydrocortisone indicating the anti-inflammatory effects of our eggshell membrane proteins.

Primary human fibroblasts - Anti-inflammation assay

Similarly, when samples of EGGXPERT_S1 & S2 incubation with primary human fibroblasts, the expression of positive NFkB (Nuclear Factor kappa B) droped about 15% at sample No. 2 comparing to positve control group with hydrocortisone indicating the anti-inflammatory effects of our eggshell membrane proteins can be different towards to different cell types.

Conclusions: We have evaluated with primary keratinocytes and fibroblasts with our designed formulas, namely sample 1 and sample 2. We have found our formulas have anti-inflammatory effects when comparing to hydrocortisone, an active ingredients that widely used for reducing skin inflammation.
