To accelerate our growth, we are currently seeking a Junior Process/Product Engineer to join our team in Maastricht, Netherlands for an entry level for our newly funded project – Print the Planet Green. In this role you will work as part of a team to collaborate with business partners, scientists and engineers.
What You’ll Do 👨🔬👩🔬
As a Junior Process/Product Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing the production process and the product performances of our upcycled eggshell-based materials. Your responsibilities include:
- Designing and executing experimental studies to develop and validate technical, manufacturing scalable, and economic feasibility for separation of eggshell-based materials.
- Conducting lab-scale testing and analysis to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Assisting in R&D and product formulation to enhance the performance of WonderLime™ and WonderCare™.
- Managing and updating the procedures, instructions and reports.
- Supporting customer projects by providing technical insights into product applications.
- Establishing processing and design guidelines for new applications to ensure quality and high-volume manufacturing capability.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards for food, cosmetic, and industrial applications.
- Taking on various side projects, including lab safety, equipment maintenance, waste management, and the implementation/validation of new analytical equipment.
What We’re Looking For 🧐
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, Biotechnology, or related field.
- 0-5 years of experience in product development, R&D, or process engineering.
- A passion for sustainability and circular economic principles.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with lab testing and data interpretation.
- A hands-on attitude and eagerness to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written (English is required, Dutch is a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
